Cashew Kernel Humidification Chamber

Condition moisture for clean peeling

A humidification chamber that finely re-conditions kernel moisture after drying — the sweet spot where the skin peels off cleanly without cracking the kernel.

What it does

The TTQ Cashew Kernel Humidification Chamber re-conditions the moisture of dried kernels to the narrow window where the testa skin releases cleanly but the kernel stays intact. After borma drying kernels can be brittle; a short, controlled humidification restores just enough moisture — typically a point or two — so peeling maximises whole-kernel yield. It is a sealed chamber with regulated humidity and dwell time.

Why this machine

Built for yield & uptime

Controlled moisture

Restores just enough moisture to loosen the skin without re-wetting the kernel.

Less peeling breakage

Conditioned kernels peel cleanly, protecting whole-kernel grades.

Regulated RH + dwell

Humidity and time are held to a recipe for repeatable conditioning.

Protects wholes

Takes the brittleness out of dried kernels before they reach the peeler.

On the line

Where it fits in the process

Sits between drying and peeling: brittle dried kernels are briefly re-humidified to the ideal peeling moisture, then fed to the peeler.

Answers

Cashew Kernel Humidification Chamber — FAQ

Why humidify kernels after drying?
Fully dried kernels can be brittle and break during peeling. A short, controlled humidification restores the ideal moisture so the skin peels cleanly and wholes stay intact.
How much moisture is added?
Typically just a point or two of moisture — enough to condition the kernel surface without re-wetting it.
Where does it sit on the line?
Between the borma dryer and the peeling machine.
