The TTQ Cashew Dryer Machine (borma) dries shelled cashew kernels under controlled heat to loosen the brown testa skin ahead of peeling. Kernels are dried on trays or a continuous conveyor at a regulated temperature — typically 70–80°C — for several hours until moisture reaches the target of around 3%. Correct drying is what makes dry-peeling clean and high-yield; over- or under-drying both raise breakage. Heat is supplied from the plant’s cashew-shell burner, making the stage largely fuel-free.
